Weir skimmers for use in shallow waters
Floating D-shaped oil recovery skimmer heads
Markleen Shallow Water Skimmers, also referred to as “manta ray” or “delta” skimmers, are simple and easy to handle pieces of equipment used to recover layers of oil floating on the surface of water in places where there is little depth or access is difficult.
Markleen Shallow Water Skimmers can be used in depths of just 7 cm and are ideal for oil spill recovery on beaches, in rivers or in other inland waters.
The skimmers float horizontally on the surface and can recover at a rate of up to 30 m3/h, whether it be with a thick or a thin layer of oil.
Shallow Water Skimmers are best used by hand and are usually connected up to a diaphragm type engine pump via hoses with a diameter of 2”.
